APPLICATION

Seawater Desalination
SWRO Membrane Solutions

TL Environment SWRO membranes are engineered for the demanding conditions of seawater desalination — high salinity feeds, high operating pressures, and continuous coastal operation.

CHALLENGE & SOLUTION

Reliable Membrane Performance in High-Salinity Environments

Seawater desalination by reverse osmosis requires membranes that can maintain high salt rejection and stable permeate flux under continuous high-pressure operation with feed water TDS values of 30,000–45,000 ppm. Membrane performance degradation, biofouling, and scaling are the primary operational challenges in SWRO systems.

TL Environment's SWRO elements are manufactured with high-crosslink-density polyamide thin-film composite membranes, providing the salt rejection stability and chemical resistance required for long-term SWRO operation. Our TL-SW series achieves ≥99.8% NaCl rejection under standard test conditions, with stable performance across the full range of seawater temperatures and salinities encountered in coastal and offshore applications.
